In memory of Professor Irina Ryamzina

Professor Irina Ryamzina M.D., cardiologist and our colleague has untimely passed away at the age of 58 years old.

Irina was born in 1957 in the Perm region, in 1980 graduated with honors from medical faculty of the Perm State Medical Institute. After the internship of Municipal clinical hospital N2 Professor Ryamzina worked as cardiologist and a doctor of functional diagnostics in Perm Municipal Cardiologic Center since 1981 till 1991. I.N. Ryamzina held oppositions of the assistant (1991-1997), then associate professor (1997-2004) and at last professor at the Chair of Hospital Therapy of Perm State Medical Academy (2005-2007).

Professor Ryamzina was a member of the European Society of Cardiology, the European Society for Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation, a board member of the Association of the Physicians of Perm region , member of the editorial board of the Journal "Preventive Medicine ". Irina Ryamzina made a great contribution to the work of the National Society of Preventive Cardiology. She was a member of the Management Board , co-chair of the Section on the Rehabilitation of Cardiovascular Diseases ( from 2007 to 2013).

Since 2013 she was a Chairman of the Section on Epidemiology of cardiovascular diseases and public health. In 2008 there was established the first Russian- European Workshop on Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation in Perm on the basis of  Ust - Kachk resort with her direct participation.

Professor Ryamzina actively participated in the organization and performance of the annual conference of the National Society of Preventive Cardiology and in scientific studies, which were conducted under the auspices of the Society.

The bright memory of  Irina Nikolayevna Ryamzina remain in the hearts of many of her colleagues and friends.
